What are you seeking? Many people are tired of just medicating a problem and are seeking a better solution to difficulties with attention, mood, stress management and improved quality of life.

If you are one of the many people who is seeking a calm, cheerful, clear and well focused mind for yourself or your child, you may find our services of interest.

Parents see the frustration in their child who tries hard but does not seem to succeed. Teachers see a child who has just given up and won’t try anymore. Adults may think they have to accept themselves as they are, and not set their sights higher. If you are like many people, you may have done traditional talk therapy or you may have tried a variety of behavioral interventions, but are still seeing the same behaviors, or are still stuck with the same feelings.

EEG Biofeedback

Dr. Armstrong is a neuropsychologist, a specialist in brain-behavior relationships, who became tired of being able to tell you what area of the brain was not functioning optimally, but not being able to tell you what to do to correct the problem area. So she began her own quest for answers.

EEG Biofeedback, also called Neurofeedback (NF) or Neurotherapy, turned out to be the answer. This technique allows her to show you what your brain is doing, so you can correct it.

Your brain can learn to efficiently do what you want it to do. Your brain learns a new skill by trial and error. If the information gets stored or encoded wrong, that is how you remember it. If you learned to get your homework done by creating anxiety, you create anxiety around any project you need to do. Our brain state is governed by our brain waves. By learning to manage your brainwaves, you can better regulate your brain state. This is something like a tune up for your car—a “brain tune-up” may be the answer to problems with mood and performance.
